Matt Loves Kate

Bush Wedding

Matt and Kate tied the knot at Nanga Bush Camp in Dwellingup on a cool day in September. Captured by the ridiculously talented Pierre Curry, this wedding embraced the bush setting and log cabins while still being a sophisticated celebration.

Guests had the option to stay the night (a bit like school camp), bring a caravan or find alternative accommodation adding a bit of fun to the whole adventure. The bride and groom had their own adjoining cabin.

It was a cool night so guests were treated to an open fire pit. Eighty Eight Event Lighting created a canopy of lights which gave the space so much warmth and intimacy; working beautifully with the open flame table top candles and brass vessels hired from Pretty Willow.

The bride wore a soft strapless Samantha Wynne gown, and her flowers were designed to work in harmony with the landscape, including gum leaves, king protea, leucadendron with hints of soft pink and burgundy. The bridesmaids wore musk pink cocktail dresses by Unspoken with simple nude shoes.

The boys looked dapper in their navy blue suits, adorned with floral bow ties by Bow Tie and Cotton, and non-traditional buttonholes by Ruby Tree Creative.

This DIY venue meant the couple could choose their own caterer, there was no dreaded curfew and they could BYO their alcohol.
